Printable maps "standard"
Would be nice if lesson plans included standard map areas for printing...customizing is nice but would be handier to look for a map of a specific continent or hemisphere for quick print - both outline and more detailed outline

Individual Maps
I don't see a way to just print an individual country. When you zoom in, the scaling is not right to even just get to that particular country you are trying to get. You should be able to just maybe double click on a particular country and then be able to show just that and layer it or create whatever you need to with it.

Compass rose, etc.
Give each map a compass rose and a legend. Also, expanded drawing tools (particularly a circle and color choices) would make these maps much more flexible for teacher use. It would also be helpful if you would allow the importation of jpeg/gif images in the layers.
10 votesGreat ideas! These are all in our roadmap. Just to note, most of the “Layers” do have legends, but we’ll be adding them for the maps as well.

Resources in Spanish
Provide an option that students and teachers can toggle on and off to change the language settings (esp in Spanish), so that our English language learners can benefit from world atlas.

searching for Canada and the U.S.
Although I can search for Canadian provinces and territories and U.S.states, I cannot search for Canada or the U.S.as countries toget the big picture.

Just lucky I found this
I was so delighted to find this incredible atlas. I use it in so many ways. I am an avid flight sim buff and log all my trips here. and actually save them!! It is having my own personal map and log book.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Incomplete
Why does this atlas not have a thorough set of maps? The entire middle east is missing. There is only one map for China. Why are these missing? Clearly RM has plenty of great maps they could use.

Pictures
It would really make the world come to life if there were pictures of the different map locations (like Google Earth)

Manual Zoom
I would really like to be able to control the zoom by manually going in and out.

13 Colonies with Roanoke, Jamestown, Plymouth denoted
I teach 5th grade with a focus on colonization. One concept is seeing the New World grow from individual settlements to larger colonies. Another concept is focusing on the 3 original colony settlements from Roanoke that disappeared to Jamestown, a merchant colony to Plymouth the religious colony.

For visually impaired learners, I would like to suggest that latitude and longitude line be black. There is not enough contrast with blue.
Latitude and longitude lines need to be black for more contrast when the maps are being projected.

Is it possible to create my own themes?
I would like to select and group various countries into categories. Having a list of countries and being able to drag/drop them into categories or at least click on them and creating my own legend, would be really nice.
