Physical Map with Political Boundaries/Labels Overlay Options AND Smaller Pins
(1) Most map studies for students require physical maps with political boundaries, but NO NAMES OR PHYSICAL FEATURE LABELS. For example, students need to be able to identify and label "Rub' al Khali" on the physical map, but they also need to have the outline of the countries' borders so that they can locate each country and label it themselves. The best way to accomplish this might be to create separate overlays: "political borders", "capital locations (pins marking the locations of capitals without the names of the capitals)", "country names", "physical feature names" overlays.
(2) The pins feature is useful (a "star" pin would be less bulky for most applications), but they are way too big. If I create a map of a continent that will fit in the print frame, I can barely see the country through the mass of pins that I've drawn marking where the capitals should be.
